BHM Ministry Mix: The Future Takes a Glance at the Past

St. John Community Church is hosting an event on Sunday, February 27, 2011. We have been asked to help participate. The program is called the "Youth and Black History Program Mix" and begins at 5:30 pm. They are located at 5501 Silver Hill Rd. Suitland, MD. This event is one of a kind. One that is of ministry to our youth but also takes the time to educate them about their heritage. This is something that we don't do often enough in our churches or even in our neighboring communities. Please come out and support black history in the making.

In the World but not of it...

We've been asked to minister in the most unlikely place, a night lounge and bar. Wait a minute...hear us out...we were commissioned to go out and spread the gospel right? We can't effectively do that if we stay in the same venues talking to the same "already saved" people. We have to sing of God's goodness to people who don't know about it yet. To try a different approach this time, we want to meet people halfway and come to their element. God's word is diverse enough to transcend locations, stigmas, and tradition...and we want to mirror that. This event isn't for the faint of faith, only come if you really feel that deep down, you can be "in the world but not of it". We'd love your support but only you know where you stand with God and we don't want to jeopardize that so the choice is yours. We'll be at Rio Restaurant and Lounge today from 4-8pm helping them celebrate the New Year. It is located at 13501 Baltimore Ave. Laurel, MD. 20707. It is right before Contee Rd. and straight off of rt. 1.

Due to the nature of the event, only 21 and up are permitted.

Riddle: What's after Thanksgiving but before Christmas?

AGREEMENT IN CONCERT!!! (trumpet sounds) Yes family, WE are finally going to host our own event on Friday December 3rd @ 7:00pm (exactly two weeks from today). It will be held at Abundant Life Bible Church located at 5405 36th Avenue, Hyattsville, MD. 20782. We thoroughly enjoy ministering and supporting our brothers and sisters in Christ during their concerts and because of that faithfulness God has made it so we can invite our family and friends to come fellowship at our very own concert. It's been a while since we've seen you. We couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to reach out and catch up with you than through what we do best...ministry through music. To let you hear what's been going on with us and to share what God is doing in our lives and ultimately see what He can do in yours. So with that being said, you HAVE to come. Seriously. There's no option. Why would you want to miss this? It's free. Besides, you'll be tired of staring at the leftovers in your fridge from Thanksgiving so you'll need something to cure you of your food fever. Come and get in some good cardio during praise and worship! You know you want to.

Want to switch up your routine and do something a little different this Saturday? If so, that's perfect because we will be ministering and supporting Chosen Royalty at their CD Benefit service. A party with a purpose, cool huh? There will be a plethera of talent and entertainment. Not to mention, being surrounded with people of like hearts and like minds. That's always a plus. This event is being held at Upper Room Christian Cathedral Ministries located at 8025 Rugby Rd. Manassas, VA 20111. If you want to get a good seat be sure to be there at 5pm sharp. See you in a few!

"Change You Can Believe In"

Affectionately dubbed "the church in the hood that'll do you good" by the community, International MCHCA headquarters, Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church is currently hosting its 81st Annual Holy Convocation and we've been blessed to be invited to minister for tonight's occasion!!! The service will begin at 7:30pm and is located at 610 Rhode Island Ave NE, Washington DC (accessible by metro at Rhode Island station). Please come out and be blessed by the word of God and the rich history of Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church, if you don't Bishop or Co-Pastor will put you on blast Sunday morning for NOT showing your face! Jk jk, but seriously they might though so you don't want to miss it! :^)

Powerfest

Thursday, most of us just wish we could skip it and get to Friday and all the excitement of the weekend to come. Well, this Thursday is holding its own and you would not want to fast forward this.

This Thursday at 7:30pm, we'll be ministering at POWERFEST 2010: Praise and Worship Convocation, presented to you by Bishop C.L. Long and Cathedral Ministries. The location is Scripture Cathedral on 810 'O' Street, NW Washington, DC 20001.

Oh yeah, we almost forgot the best part...Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole will be delivering the message for the evening!!! You've heard her sing (AMAZING!) but have you heard her preach?! We guarantee it will be nothing short of awesome. So fire up the DVR to record all your favorite shows so you can come and witness the awesome-ness that is POWERFEST! See ya!
